SVR one flap anti-flood valves contain a non-return flap that allows smooth flow in the desired direction, but automatically blocks water and or vermin from the other. This effectively prevents flooding from backflow of sewerage and or vermin infestation.

These valves are similar in function to flap valves, however being ‘in-line’ allows them to have a more varied array of uses compared to flap valves which are limited to the ends of a pipeline. This feature makes non-return valves more suited to domestic and small business use, when access to the end of a pipe may not be possible.
